DAVIS - STANDARD CASE STUDY

3D Immersive Aplication
Interactive 3D Product Experience for Trade Shows and Sales Enablement (15+ Machines)
Overview
Davis-Standard needed a modern way to showcase complex industrial machinery with speed, clarity, and technical credibility—especially in trade show and sales contexts where attention is limited and the cost/complexity of transporting equipment is high.
TRNSFRM+A/R delivered an interactive 3D product experience designed like a guided, video-game-like walk through: engaging, intuitive, and structured for better sales conversations. The platform currently includes a growing library of 15+ machines visualized in 3D, designed to be reused across events, remote demos, and sales follow-up.

The Solution
Interactive 3D Product Experience (Trade Show + Sales Toolkit)
We built an experience that translates complex machinery into a clear, guided narrative—with optional deep dives that preserve technical credibility.
What’s live today:
-
15+ machines visualized as interactive 3D experiences
-
Guided navigation aligned to the sales journey (fast overview → deeper layers)
-
Hotspots that communicate features → benefits → proof
-
Kiosk-ready performance for trade shows, plus a shareable format for follow-up
-
Designed for scaling and cross-team reuse

The Challenge
Industrial equipment is powerful—but hard to communicate quickly when:
-
Products are highly engineered and feature-dense
-
Stakeholders need different levels of depth (executive vs. engineering vs. ops)
-
Trade show time is limited and attention is fragmented
-
Shipping machines creates major cost, risk, and logistics
-
Sales teams need consistent storytelling and reusable assets post-show
Objectives
-
Enable faster product understanding with a repeatable guided story
-
Improve booth engagement and sales conversations without shipping equipment
-
Provide a reusable asset for remote demos and follow-up
-
Build a scalable framework to support a
-
multi-product library

1. Full Interactive 3D downloadable application (kiosk-ready)
2. UX/UI and information architecture for industrial buyers
3. 3D asset preparation and real-time optimization
4. Sales narrative structure (Problem → Solution → Proof)
4. Deployment-ready package for trade show hardware and portability
What we delivered
Forward-Looking Development
While the Davis-Standard engagement is focused on marketing and sales enablement, TRNSFRM+A/R is also developing additional modules internally—based on where industrial product experiences and digital adoption are heading. These initiatives are not part of the current Davis-Standard contract.
Internal Initiative 1: Maintenance Module
Purpose: make serviceability and maintenance concepts easier to understand through interactive 3D.
Explored capabilities:
-
Visual maintenance walkthroughs tied to the 3D model
-
Component identification and assembly exploration
-
Step-by-step service sequences and checklists
-
Optional: troubleshooting paths and service documentation linking

Internal Initiative 3: Digital Twin Readiness
Purpose: architect the platform to support data-to-3D experiences when clients want to connect real operational data.
Explored capabilities:
-
Digital twin-ready framework (data mapping to the 3D UI)
-
Real-time or historical visualization layers (based on client data availability)
-
Foundations for condition monitoring, performance insights, and smarter service enablement
Note: Digital twin implementations depend on client data sources, integration approach, and scope.
Why It Works
-
Clarity wins: a guided experience keeps conversations focused and fast
-
Depth on demand: executives get the story quickly; engineers can explore detail
-
Reusable beyond the booth: the platform becomes a follow-up tool and remote demo asset
-
Scalable: adding more machines and content is straightforward once the framework exists
Internal Initiative 2: Training Module
Purpose: improve onboarding and operator learning using interactive, role-based training.
Explored capabilities:
-
Guided training sequences using the real machine model
-
Role-based learning paths (operator / maintenance tech / supervisor)
-
Safety and process-oriented instruction delivered visually
-
Optional: knowledge checks and guided tasks
